Soap Bar Care

Daily Care:

  1. Keep it Dry Between Uses: Leave the soap on a self draining dish, slotted wooden tray, bamboo soap holder, or soap saver pad. Never leave it sitting in standing water.
  2. Avoid Direct Shower Streams While Not in Use: Store on a shelf outside the direct splash zone of the shower head/faucet.
  3. Use a Sisal Pouch or Mesh Bag: A soap saver pouch not only provides exfoliation and builds rich lather, it allows the bar to hang dry efficiently.
  4. Conserve Small Slivers/Bars: Combine leftover soap scraps into a sisal pouch to use them efficiently and without waste.

Storage:

  1. Store in a Cool, Dry Place: Keep unused bars in a dark, dry place, away from direct sunlight and high humidity. If kept in the bathroom, store behind a cabinet or in a drawer to avoid steam/humidity.
  2. Allow to Breathe: Avoid sealing in airtight containers, ambient airflow preserves the bars integrity- leaving bars in the boxes, loosely sealed bags, or parchment they arrive in is a great option.
  3. Use Within 12-18 Months: While cured soap remains safe long-term, the essential oils, clays, and plant extracts will maintain peak aroma and freshness within the first eighteen months.
